Race in the 2023 Troy Turkey Trot: A Thanksgiving Day Tradition

The Troy Turkey Trot started in 1916 with just six runners entered. Now, it's one of the largest and oldest turkey trots in the country. For 2023, the event will be in person and feature a 5K run, 10K run, one-mile Turkey Walk, and the Grade School Mile. Join the thousands of Capital Region participants in this proud tradition on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023.

Give Back When Registering for the Troy Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all the wonderful blessings we have, including family and friends. The Troy Turkey Trot would like to encourage you to remember those who are less fortunate during this season of giving thanks. You can do so by giving a "Donation of Thanks" to either of their selected charities, the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, or Joseph's House and Shelter, when you register for the race.
